Sequoiadendron - giganteum
Details
Sequoiadendron giganteum is a species of coniferous tree that are the most massive trees on earth. It will grow in colder areas of NZ than its nearest relative tree Sequoiadendron sempervirens. giganteum tolerate extremely exposed, windy and dry sites and high altitudes with winter snow.
This seed is imported from the USA and was collected from wild forest locations, seed was treated in the US and had been certified by MPI.
This seed is frozen stored so stratification wont be needed, but sowing would be recommended in spring and summer. Actual field germination will depend on the technical knowledge experience and skill of the grower, so for those with limited experience the internet will provide all the information needed. Allow for around a 40 % genmination
